Vintage Design
This is a unique Promemoria Bilou Bilou chair created by Stephen Payne for the Promemoria So British Exhibition at the London Design Festival, 2016, the chair originally designed by Romeo Sozzi in 1999. The chair has the maker’s plaque under seat and comes with original fitted dust cover. The chair was coined the Brexit Chair when first revealed and is designed to reflect the Punk Rock disdain for establishment and established furniture design whist being based around the Bilou Bilou chair, a masterpiece of design with its roots firmly Italian handmade tradition.
This is one of a number of unique customisations of the Bilou Bilou chair commissioned by Promemoria over the years. Such chairs seldom come to market.
