with the B 109 console table, THONET presents an elegantly convertible piece of furniture. Formally settled in the late 1920’s where small apartments required multi-purpose furniture. When unfolded, the result is a full-fledged table or an extension of an existing table measuring 90 x 90 cm and 72 cm high. The surface shows a rich matt black finish which is durable and waterproof.
very few signs of wear. The doubled top can be rotated and folded out, turning the long rectangle into a 90 x 90 cm square. The plate is fixed off-centre to the base and locked in the base when fully rotated. Solid, fully chrome-plated hinges are embedded flush in the plate.
