Vintage Design
Modernist office of French designer Robert Charroy published by Mobilor in the mid-1950s (1955-1956).
This series of furniture was retained for the equipment of the Jean Zay university residence in the city of Antony.
This residence was equipped by furniture drawn by designating as Jean Prouvé, Charlotte Perriand, Marcel Gascoin.
This oak and laminate tray office is characterized by its rounded and harmonious lines.
The oak is of good quality and enjoys a pleasant veining.
The hanging box opens with 2 drawers.
The tray and the box enjoy subtle curves.
The drawers are beveled and the edges softened.
The space between the tray and the box offers an interesting storage space.
In addition, the shape of the base, in a black tube, all the more the hectic pace of this office.
Black tube whose diameter is greater than the tubes used frequently used at that time by Pierre Guariche, Pierre Paulin, Joseph André Motte, Alain Richard etc …
The office is reminiscent of the Bauhaus style.
There are restorations visible on the outside side.
