A beautiful antique English or Scottish golden elm server or bar with hand carved elements and a muted blue green diamond pattern fabric back panel. The old elm wood has gorgeous graining and just glows! Hand carved in the latter part of the 1800s likely in North England or Scotland. Note the warping in the top horizontal surface, thought it does not interfere with the function of this piece. They key with tassel acts as a pull but does not lock. A modern magnetic latch on the right side and an original flush mounted manual latch on the left side keep the doors in place. Door interiors and cabinet framework is mahogany. Gorgeous in an entryway, dining room or hallway! Bottom cabinet measures 26 inches tall from the floor to the bottom shelf. Distance between the bottom and top shelf is 16 inches, plenty of space for bottles. Interior cubbies measure 8.5 inches high x 18 inches wide x 13.5 inches deep.
