Charles Gaston Penchaud, painter-portraitist and honorary professor at the Lycée d’Orléans, was born on October 6, 1856 in Poitiers (Vienne). He married Ida Marie Joséphine Huet, born February 20, 1864 in Couhé (Vienne).
